The legendary RuPaul made his debut at the Met Gala wearing a multi-colored zebra-striped suit by longtime collaborator Zaldy.
The duo, who have worked together for nearly three decades, added a multitude of accessories to the outfit including David Webb jewelry.
“I thought about getting up in drag, but then I thought every man [was] gonna dress as Divine, from the John Waters films,” the Drag Race host told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. “And I thought I don’t wanna be where everyone else is in drag.”
RuPaul walked the red carpet alongside husband Georges LeBar.
Drag Race winners Violet Chachki and Aquaria graced the red carpet in drag, becoming the very first drag queens to do so.
