After only a season, Netflix has ended AJ and The Queen featuring RuPaul.

The comedy-drama series, which debuted in January, was RuPaul’s much anticipated Netflix debut as Ruby Red, an iconic drag queen who travels across the country in hopes of reinventing herself after tragedy.

The Emmy winner even tapped Sex and the City writer Michael Patrick King to collaborate on the ten-episode season.

RuPaul announced the cancelation via social media tweeting “Netflix has decided to not extend our road trip across America.”

The show follows RuPaul’s Skin Wars, Gay For Play game show and self-titled daytime talk show, RuPaul—all of which have been canceled.

As for the future AJ and the Queen, RuPaul and King have already planned out multiple character arcs for the show’s characters in anticipation of a network picking up the show.
