What to Do During Rupaul’s DragCon This Weekend

Just because DragCon is over for the day doesn’t mean the party has to end! If you’re making your way to RuPaul’s DragCon in NYC this weekend (which you totally should) from September 28 through September 30, we’ve come up with a list of things to do that keep the fun going all weekend long.

Thursday, September 27
Trixie Mattel

Start the DragCon weekend off the right way. If you can’t wait for her Now With Moving Parts Tour in October, you’re in luck. Winner of All Stars Season 3, Trixie Mattel comes to Sony Hall for an evening full of music and comedy. Seats are first come first serve, so get there early to score those close-up spots.

Queen! Brooklyn Invasion

The House of Yes gives DragCon a warm welcome with Queen! Brooklyn Invasion featuring hosts Shea Couleè, The Vixen, Lucy Stool, and many more. Dance the night away to house and disco tunes as your favorite queens make their way around the dance floor.

The Taming of the Tension

Miss Coco Peru is performing her show The Taming of the Tension at the Birdland Theater all weekend long from Thursday through Saturday until she hits DragCon for her first time on Sunday. She hopes to tame our tensions and stress through her iconic storytelling, putting a smile on our faces and warmth in our hearts.

Sasha Velour’s NIGHTGOWNS

Season 9 winner Sasha Velour presents NIGHTGOWNS at Terminal 5, an evening of drag entertainment open to all ages and the largest NIGHTGOWNS performance to date. Featuring Shea Couleè, Lypsinka, Sasha Colby, Victoria Sin, and many more, this rendition of Velour’s iconic show will be both unconventional and experimental.

Battle of the Runways

The ultimate show takes place at Playstation Theater when queens from season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race battle it out on the runway. Hosted by Michelle Visage, this is bound to be an unforgettable night of unique entertainment.
